Non Sequitur #3
[I collect stories, experiences, and observations that don't particularly have anything to do with the regular focus of this blog. To shake up the pattern, I feel inclined to post about them whenever it seems enough have collected to put into a Non Sequitur post.]

"Aspiring" to Extra Legroom?
Speaking to their extra legroom option on flights:
Delta Air Lines vice president of brand experience Mauricio Parise calls Comfort+ seats, launched in their current form in 2015, “attainable aspirations.”
“Ultimately this is an opportunity to give chances for customers with disposable income and seeking a better experience to offer that to them without going all the way to first class,” Mr. Parise says.
I'm a tall man who hasn't fit in economy since 2005. For me, that change in experience is a shift from miserable to tolerable. As for "attainable aspirations?" Crikey, it's a damn lawn chair no matter where it's bolted to the floor south of first class.

The bar has been raised again: Bear rings doorbell at South Carolina home.

Wendy Watson said the doorbell camera at her Greenville County home started recording about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, triggered by the motion of a bear that wandered up to her front door.
