It's time to weigh anchor and hoist the sails with something I've been working on for the past several months. It's part of Project Phoenix and was on hold while I completed an extended travel schedule, closed out 2022, and finished coding a significant update to the Stoic Agilist website. (Spoiler alert: It's plain and sparse, but has some nice juice under the hood. Pretty is next.)
Settled once again, I'm working to start a monthly forum for business leaders who are seeking to understand Agile without having to attend or complete the usual Agile 101 training tracks designed for product owners, scrum masters, or Agile team members. The forum, ambitiously titled "Agile for Business Leaders," will have it's first meet-up on April 19, 2023 12:00 Mountain Time USA (18:00 UTC).
Agile for Business Leaders is an hour long, once-a-month meet-up for C-suite executives, VPs, directors, managers, small business owners, solopreneurs, and other Agilists to gather and share ideas for how to start, lead, or optimize Agile implementations. Each meeting begins with a 15-20 minute presentation on topics relevant to leading Agile efforts and what you need to know to guide and support your teams. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to ask questions related to the presentation or join in on an open discussion of any topic of interest to participants. The presentations will be recorded, but the Q&A will not be recorded.
For April's meet-up, I'll be presenting the number one mistakes of omission and commission managers typically make when working with Agile teams.
Follow this link and register to be included in the conversation. For anyone you know who would also be interested, please forward this post to them. This is a remote offering via Zoom.
Thank you and I look forward to meeting you at our virtual gathering.
